Better decisions.Less guessing.
Market and competitor analysis that ends with a recommendation you can act on.
Rickey Kiser, owner
We’re Rich Rick.
We don’t do BS.
Companies lose deals to competitors who price sharper, say it clearer and reach the growing segment first. Most teams find out months later, once the quarter has already gone.
We run that check for you. Market sizing, industry trends, competitor pricing and positioning, customer behaviour and channel economics, turned into a recommendation your team can use the same week.
We footnote every figure and write down every assumption we make. If the data says your plan is wrong, we tell you that first.

What’s holding you back?
We’re guessing.
Nobody on your team can say how big the opportunity is, which segment is growing, or what share you could win. We size it from the bottom up and show you the arithmetic.
Competitors surprise us.
You hear about their new pricing from your own customer. We track pricing, packaging, messaging and hiring across the field, and tell you which moves matter.
Pricing is a guess.
You set the number by feel and defend it with discounts. We benchmark what the market pays, what buyers compare you against, and where you have room to move.
We dig deep.
Write plain.
Four ways we replace opinion with evidence.
Market analysis
How big it is, and where it’s going.
We size the market from the bottom up, map demand trends and segments, and track the regulatory and supply shifts that move them. You see the arithmetic behind every figure.
Competitor analysis
What they charge and why they win.
We tear down the players who take your deals: pricing and packaging, positioning, messaging, channels, hiring signals and review themes. You get the strengths worth copying and the gaps worth taking.
Customer insight
Why buyers pick anyone at all.
We interview buyers, run surveys and mine reviews to find the decision criteria, switching triggers and objections behind a purchase, from first search to signature.
Positioning & strategy
What to do on Monday.
We recommend a price, the positioning and messaging that follow from the data, the channels worth funding, and the two or three moves that change your numbers.
How a study actually goes.
Frame
We start from the decision in front of you, whether that is a price, a new market or a launch date.
Gather
We work through industry data, filings and web signals, then interview buyers and people who have left your competitors.
Analyse
We build the sizing, share, pricing and positioning maps from that evidence, and footnote every figure to its source.
Decide
We walk your team through what the data says, what we would do about it, and what would change our mind.
How we see it
“Almost everything your competitor decided last quarter is public. We make those decisions work for you.”
The data we work in, plus your own
The stuff people are afraid to ask.
How much does it cost?
We quote scope and price in writing after one call, before any work starts. A single competitor teardown carries a fixed fee. A full market study runs in stages (sizing, competitors, customers, recommendation) so you can stop after any of them.
How long does a study take?
A competitor teardown takes one to two weeks. A full market and customer study with primary interviews takes four to six. If you need a directional read before a board meeting next Friday, tell us and we will scope the work to that date.
Where does your data come from?
We use paid industry databases, public filings and pricing pages, search and web traffic data, review mining, job postings, and interviews with buyers and former employees in your category. Every figure carries a footnote to its source, so you can check any of it.
Can you cover a small or local market?
Yes, and that is where published reports tend to fall down. When no figure exists, we build the estimate from things you can count: permits, storefronts, headcount, search volume and review velocity. You see the arithmetic.
Do we just get a report?
You get the analysis, the underlying data, and a working session where we walk your team through what it means for pricing, positioning and channel spend. The deck records how we reached the recommendation.
Do you work with our existing agency or team?
Often. We hand the findings to whoever runs your marketing or product in a form they can use: positioning lines, target segments, channel priorities and a competitor watch list.
Over it?
Let’s talk.
One conversation about the decision you are stuck on, with nothing to sign and nothing to pay for.
